The coil pots everyone are building are looking great.  Here is a picture of another coil pot.  It is different than the ones we were making.  What do you think this artist did differently to create a piece that looks like this?

There have been many ceramic artists that have inspired me over the years.  One of them was a well known potter names James Watkins.  His work was different than anything I had ever seen and inspired me to stretch myself and try new techniques.  Here is a picture of one of his pieces:

So for your first weekend challenge you will need to find out some information for me.  I studied pottery at a college in Newberg Oregon.  To win the Weekend Challenge prize you need to tell me what college I went to and tell me the name of one of the professors at that college that teaches pottery.  Good luck.  The first two students that post a correct answer will win a prize.
